Capella Romana will perform works by Ukrainian composer Galina Grigorjeva and Estonian composer Arvo Pärt. The Post-Haste Reed Duo will share music by Francis Poulenc, Cindy Hsu, and more.
ABOUT
Cappella Romana is a professional vocal ensemble that performs early and contemporary sacred classical music in the Christian traditions of East and West. The ensemble is known especially for its presentations and recordings of medieval Byzantine chant (the Eastern sibling of Gregorian chant), Greek and Russian Orthodox choral works, and other sacred music that expresses the historic traditions of a unified Christian inheritance.

The Post-Haste Reed Duo is made up of musicians Javier Rodriguez and Sean Fredenburg. The duo aims to increase the amount of quality chamber music literature for saxophone and bassoon duo and to encourage young musicians to experiment performing in non-traditional chamber ensembles. They collaborate with composers that highlight the capabilities of the two instruments individually and together.
